I don't know what a Palapa is, even though I'm looking at one. Maybe you'd like to enlighten me???

LOL, Loyce! Palapas are shade umbrellas and are everywhere here because of the intense sun. They are usually made of thatch but this one is of wood and cement!Perhaps because on the roof it is vulnerable to hurricane winds. I like the pattern too--anything with rustic wood draws me in.
